Steel and Metal Furniture Designer

The role of Steel and Metal Furniture Designer involves creating innovative furniture pieces made from steel, aluminum, and other metals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and prototyping new furniture designs while ensuring they are functional, durable, and aesthetically pleasing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop steel furniture products such as tables, chairs, shelves, and storage units that meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Prepare 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks to facilitate production and manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are practical and feasible for mass production.
  • Perform structural analysis of steel furniture to guarantee durability and stability.
  • Select materials and finishes based on aesthetic, functional, and cost considerations to provide value-added solutions.
  • Conduct research on trends in furniture design and material innovation to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Develop prototypes for testing and modify designs based on feedback to improve overall quality.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for sourcing materials and components that meet company specifications.
  • Ensure designs meet safety standards, environmental regulations, and company requirements.
  • Assist in developing cost estimates for production, assembly, and materials to inform business decisions.
