Manual Quality Assurance Specialist

The Manual Quality Assurance Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of e-commerce platforms. This position requires an individual with hands-on experience in manual testing, a strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and system testing lifecycle (STLC), as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of experience as a Manual QA Tester, with proven experience testing e-commerce platforms or applications. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze system specifications and business requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle
  • Design and execute test cases (manual) for web and mobile platforms
  • Perform regression, functional, integration, and UI testing for e-commerce features
  • Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar
  • Validate fixes and conduct re-testing as needed
  • Work closely with developers and product managers to resolve issues
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and documentation

Requirements:

  • 5–7 years of experience as a Manual QA Tester
  • Proven experience testing e-commerce platforms or applications
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle
  • Hands-on experience with test case management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr)
  • Experience working with issue tracking tools like JIRA
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Familiarity with cross-browser and mobile testing

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in API testing using Postman or similar tools
  • Familiarity with databases and ability to write basic SQL queries
  • Knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Selenium) is a plus but not required
  • Exposure to platforms like Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, or custom-built e-commerce systems
