Sub Editor-English Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess strong editorial judgment, excellent command of English, and the ability to edit and rewrite news content with speed and accuracy.

  • Edit, rewrite, and fact-check city news stories for grammar, clarity, and style.
  • Ensure accuracy, speed, and adherence to editorial standards.
  • Collaborate with reporters and editorial leads for timely coverage.
  • Craft engaging headlines and optimize stories for digital reach.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field, along with 1–3 years of experience in news editing (digital preferred). They will also possess strong news sense, grammar, and attention to detail, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
