We are seeking an experienced SQL Database Site Reliability Engineer to join our team.

  • Role: SQL Database Site Reliability Engineer

About the Opportunity:

  • This is a permanent position with a renowned pharmaceutical company that values innovation, quality, and excellence.
  • The ideal candidate will have 3-12+ years of experience as an SQL Platform Engineer in an enterprise environment with relevant experience in SQL database administration and supporting mission-critical production environments.
  • SQL Server Administration: Strong expertise in SQL Server (on-premises, Azure SQL Database, and Managed Instance) administration is required. Scripting & Programming: Strong skills in PowerShell/ Python/Bash/Ansible/Terraform and T-SQL (PL/SQL experience is a plus for cross-platform).
  • Familiarity with multi-cloud environments (Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, GCP) for database deployment and operations is also necessary. Additionally, the successful candidate must be willing to participate in 24×7 operational support with an on-call rotation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain high-performance databases
  • Develop and execute scripts for automated tasks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues
  • Provide expert-level support for database-related queries and issues

Requirements:

  • 3-12+ years of experience as an SQL Platform Engineer in an enterprise environment
  • Strong expertise in SQL Server administration
  • Excellent scripting and programming skills in PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, and T-SQL
  • Familiarity with multi-cloud environments (Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
