Senior Physical Design Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Physical Design Engineer to lead our team in creating cutting-edge designs.

Responsibilities
  • Leadership:
    • Lead and manage a high-performing physical design team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
    • Mentor and coach junior engineers, empowering their professional development and technical growth.
    • Define clear vision, set strategic direction, and motivate the team to achieve ambitious project goals.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Define and implement the overall physical design strategy for assigned projects, considering performance, power, area, and manufacturability constraints.
    • Oversee all stages of physical design flow, including floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis (CTS), routing, and physical verification.
    • Ensure adherence to advanced design rules and industry best practices for manufacturability.
    • Stay at the forefront of physical design advancements by actively researching and adopting emerging tools and methodologies.
    • Collaborate effectively with design, verification, and layout teams to ensure seamless integration throughout the design cycle.
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance on complex physical design challenges.
  • Project Management:
    • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive physical design project plans.
    • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure timely completion within constraints.
    • Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks throughout the design flow.
    • Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions effectively to stakeholders (engineering leadership, product management).
