The Role

We are looking for a talented Sports Content Editor to join our team. As a key member of our editorial staff, you will be responsible for editing and publishing articles that meet our high standards of quality and accuracy.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Edit and publish 20-25 articles per day, ensuring they are fact-checked, well-researched, and ready for publication.
  2. Work closely with our team of writers, editors, and content managers to refine and elevate our content.
  3. Develop a deep understanding of our audience and use this knowledge to fine-tune content, enhancing its impact and relevance.
  4. Collaborate with our content quality team to ensure our content meets the highest standards.
  5. Mentor and guide our writers, helping them grow and evolve as contributors to our team.
  6. Stay up-to-date with breaking news and events, ensuring our readers are always informed and engaged.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Media/ Journalism, or similar discipline.
  • 6-12 months of experience in sports content editing, proofreading, or a similar role.
  • Strong command of the English language and an understanding of American culture.
  • Ability to analyze article performance metrics and use insights to improve content quality.
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles, including crafting engaging headings and subheadings.
  • Leadership skills to inspire and mentor our team of writers.
  • Passion for sports and a willingness to cover a wide range of topics.
