We are seeking a seasoned Integration Specialist to design and implement integration solutions within the Guidewire platform. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reusable integrations.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with technical and business leaders during Guidewire Policy Center implementations and participate in requirements review, assessment, and high-level sizing of configuration and technical effort.
  • Ensure technical design and specifications align with traceable user-stories/requirements and adhere to Guidewire development best-practices.
  • Leverage available Guidewire accelerators to accelerate development activities and make reuse of proven architectural patterns for integrations or product development activities.
  • Develop integration solutions including batch processes, message queues, and event messaging.
  • Develop integration solutions with internal and external consumers.
  • Leverage Guidewire EDGE APIs or EDGE-oriented extended models to build domain-based API solutions that are reusable.
  • Establish and execute traceable unit and integration tests (automated as agreed).
  • Write code/peer reviews and ensure unit, integration, end-to-end, and smoke tests are conducted following continuous integration and deployment activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong experience and understanding of Guidewire Edge APIs, exposing Guidewire functionality to external consumers.
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter integration development and overall 5+ years of experience developing web-based Java/J2EE or .Net applications.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with XML, JSON, and SQL required.
  • Experience creating transactional and account/user-management integrations with Guidewire Policy Center and external systems, strong understanding of reconciliation necessary.
  • Strong experience with SQL required.
  • Experience with web service hosting and consuming using the Guidewire EDGE Layer.
  • Strong experience designing/developing REST APIs or Web Services to expose Guidewire functionality to consumers.
  • Agile methodology and tooling experience in a technical owner capacity.
  • Experience with source control tools like GIT, TFS, or similar.
  • Guidewire integration concepts: Batch Processing, Message Queues, and Event Processing expertise required.
