Senior Communications Strategist

We are seeking a seasoned PR professional to build compelling brand narratives in a fast-paced environment. This role requires someone who thrives in dynamic settings, works closely with media houses and stakeholders, and delivers impactful editorial wins under tight deadlines.

This is not an entry-level coordinator position - it's for a senior communications strategist who thinks and acts like an entrepreneur, takes full ownership, and commands credibility in the ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops comprehensive PR strategies with minimal dependencies.
  • Secures editorials, op-eds, and thought leadership pieces across top-tier publications.
  • Buys relationships with journalists, editors, and media owners across policy, business, and impact beats.
  • Manages press relations for high-stakes projects, especially in public-sector or compliance-heavy environments.
  • Operates under real-world constraints without compromising results.

Requirements:

  • 6-9 years of experience in PR/communications, preferably from boutique firms or independent consulting.
  • Proven track record of getting editorials and high-quality coverage with lean teams.
  • Experience handling government projects or public policy communication.
  • Deep media relationships and respected reputation in the PR ecosystem.
  • Self-starter with a pseudo-entrepreneur mindset.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in sustainability, cleantech, policy, or ESG space.
  • Ability to script, ghostwrite, or package complex stories simply.
  • Familiarity with media analytics tools (e.g., Whizikey, Meltwater).
