Broadband Estimator

We are seeking a seasoned professional with experience in estimating within the broadband, telecom, and outside plant industry. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of industry requirements for all outside plant engineering and construction needs and possess the expertise to properly price projects accordingly.

Responsibilities:

• Review customer provided Request for Proposals (RFPs) documents to gain a full understanding including but not limited to project scope, RFP response requirements, project specifications, project schedule, and customer objectives.
• Develop comprehensive estimate and bid preparation templates specifically tailored to each RFP project.
• Utilize expert-level proficiency in Excel to build cost breakdowns, high level schedules, risk registers, preliminary resource plans, and populate customer bid pricing forms pricing sheets for RFP submittals client submissions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary project information and ensure accurate estimates.
• Conduct thorough analysis and research to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and risk mitigation strategies.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to present estimates, address inquiries, and provide recommendations as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve estimating processes and accuracy.
• Other miscellaneous duties related to Estimating as assigned.

The role of the estimator is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of estimates for our clients. As an experienced estimator, you will be responsible for reviewing customer provided RFP documents, developing comprehensive estimate and bid preparation templates, and utilizing expert-level proficiency in Excel to build cost breakdowns and risk registers.
