Job Title: Power BI Developer

Aptimized is seeking a skilled Power BI professional with experience in Data Engineering and Reporting solutions to support enterprise data initiatives from offshore. This role combines hands-on data engineering and ETL development with business intelligence and power BI reporting delivery, ensuring timely and accurate insights for business stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Data Modeling and Visualization
    • Create high-quality Power BI dashboards, paginated reports, and self-service datasets using data modeling principles.
    • Design and implement tailored data models (star schema, snowflake, data marts) for reporting and analysis.
    • Develop reusable DAX measures, Power Query transformations, and semantic layers to enhance data quality and performance.
  • Data Engineering and Integration
    • Develop and maintain optimized ETL/ELT pipelines to load and transform data into data warehouses and marts.
    • Collaborate with onsite data architects and engineers to ensure data quality, consistency, and performance.
    • Build efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to support reporting and analytics needs.
  • Offshore Delivery and Collaboration
    • Work closely with onsite leads, data architects, and business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions.
    • Provide status updates, documentation, and knowledge transfer to ensure alignment with enterprise BI initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 6–9 years of experience in Data Engineering & Business Intelligence.
  • Strong hands-on skills in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Power BI Service).
  • Proficiency in SQL Server, T-SQL, SSRS, and SSIS (ETL development).
  • Knowledge of data modeling principles (dimensional, normalized, denormalized).
  • Experience working in an offshore delivery model with global teams.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
