Cloud Database Engineer OpportunitiesJob Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Database Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases within the cloud environment.

  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security of data for various applications.
  • Provision, configure, and manage cloud database resources, including sizing, scaling, and automation.
  • Design, implement, and monitor HA/DR strategies to ensure business continuity and data resilience.
  • Plan and execute robust backup and restore operations, validate recovery procedures, and ensure compliance with Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO).
  • Monitor database performance using monitoring tools, identify and resolve bottlenecks by optimizing queries, indexes, and resource allocation.
Requirements:8+ years of experience working on cloud MS-SQL databases, preferably as a Lead Admin responsible for all cloud and on-prem database administration activities. Hands-on experience with managing Oracle OCI or Azure VM, Network, and Security is essential. The ideal candidate should also support the lifecycle management of business critical applications, including installing patches, performing upgrades, managing releases, and administration tasks. Experience with cloud platform services, particularly Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and Azure Virtual Machines, is required.

The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. They should be able to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
