Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineering Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will work in our Pressure Management Business unit, located in Mahindra World City, Chengalpattu.

The role involves providing technical support and expertise in drawing creation, manual preparation, procedural development, routing creation, and assembly line process optimization.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines within the given timeframe.
  • Develop innovative solutions and concepts for shopfloor improvements.
  • Design and develop Jig and Fixtures with built-in control mechanisms.
  • Create CAD drawings in AutoCAD and optimize assembly shop layouts.
  • Implement Kaizens, cycle time improvement projects, SMED projects, Poke-Yoke projects, cost-saving initiatives, 5S, and Hand Safety projects.
  • Lead and implement 5S programs and Kaizen initiatives across the factory, driving for world-class standards.
  • Demonstrate and coordinate with operators for assembly process verification, equipment testing, and cycle time validation.
  • Source suppliers that meet technical requirements and manage projects accordingly.
  • Analyze root causes of process issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Establish standard times, conduct cycle time studies, and perform line balancing.
  • Eliminate Non-Value Added activities for existing and new product lines.
  • Drive LEAN projects and Value Stream Mapping initiatives.

You analyze multiple sources of information to define problems accurately before implementing solutions. You consider situational and group dynamics when selecting approaches.
