Job Summary:
We're seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer to join our team and contribute to the creation of innovative, user-friendly documentation that showcases our SaaS products' capabilities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical writing, with a focus on SaaS-based products.
You'll work closely with our development team to gather information about our products, create engaging content, and ensure our documentation is accessible and user-friendly.
Responsibilities:
- Gather information about SaaS products with SMEs, product managers, and developers.
- Create diverse technical documentation for various audiences.
- Craft clear and concise content for non-technical audiences.
- Organize and structure information for easy navigation and searchability.
- Conduct thorough research and testing of the product.
- Collaborate with the marketing team for consistent messaging and branding.
- Maintain a style guide and documentation standards.
- Work closely with the customer support team to understand common customer inquiries.
- Develop self-service documentation to address these issues.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in technical writing and SaaS documentation.
Requirements:
- Minimum 6-7 years of experience in technical writing, specifically for SaaS-based products.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of the SaaS domain technical writing.
- Solid understanding of software development concepts and experience working with software development teams.
- Proficiency in using documentation tools.
- Knowledge of markup languages.
- High degree of professionalism.
- Demonstrated success in planning and controlling in technical writing and deliverables.
