Job Title: Senior Agronomist

Job Summary:

Saaki Argus & Averil Consulting seeks a highly skilled Senior Agronomist to lead our agri development programs in the division. The ideal candidate will have 20+ years of experience in the Agri Industry with excellent farmer connects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, monitor, and facilitate the implementation of all agri development programs in the division.
• Liaise with various Government and non-Governmental organizations to maximize benefits to the Company.
• Evaluate strategies for effective development and supply of agri products to the factories.
• Improve productivity (yield per hectare) and quality.
• Liaise with State and National level Research Stations for sourcing best and proven agronomic practices.
• Fix purchase price through discussion and appraisal of the entire position to the farmers/ growers.
• Monitor and review regularly the performance of the budgeted targets of agri operations department.
• Establish effective networks within the industry and liaise with Government both State and Centre.
• Build relationships with local political circle, bureaucrats, opinion makers, and touch base with environment.
• Develop a good field force for executing the activity plan on time.
• Identify suitability, implement, and arrange required farm machineries' for both major and minor farm activities.
• Identify irrigation projects in coordination with local team and Government.
• Retain farmers/ growers permanently with our business work in coordination with R&D team and with research stations, universities for farm productivity and improve the economic levels of farmers/growers.
• Focus and develop Systems and procedures in a robust manner. Create proper controls, checks & balances.

Candidate Requirements:

• 20+ years of experience in Agri Industry with excellent farmer connects.
• MBA from Premier Institutes / M.Sc. Agri.
• Location: Chennai.
