About this role:

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team of experts in designing and developing new web applications and APIs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting web applications and APIs, writing and maintaining reliable Ruby / Rails code, integrating with data storage solutions, creating services using microservices architecture, Dockerizing the application/service, identifying and fixing bottlenecks and bugs, and integrating user-facing elements designed by the front-end team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing new web applications and APIs
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting existing web applications and APIs
  • Writing and maintaining reliable Ruby / Rails code
  • Integrating with data storage solutions such as databases, file storage or object storage
  • Creating services using microservices architecture
  • Dockerizing the application/service
  • Identifying and fixing bottlenecks and bugs
  • Integrating user-facing elements designed by the front-end team

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • At least 7 years of hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails
  • Expertise in background job processing using Sidekiq or Shoryuken
  • Solid knowledge in React and Typescript
  • Familiarity with AWS, with a specific emphasis on SQS (Simple Queue Service)
  • Ability to work in EST hours
