About You and This Role:

The Senior Reliability Engineer provides global support for equipment reliability strategy (ERS) development, modification, or update through the Maintenance Technology Center. The specialist is trained and knowledgeable in maintenance and equipment reliability principles.

Responsibilities include providing technical support for multiple plants as a reliability ERS specialist and analyst. The analyst role utilizes operation and maintenance experience of rotating machines and GE APM reliability analytics software to oversee and manage the eqpt reliability strategy program. Duties include developing eqpt reliability strategies, interfacing with plant reliability and maintenance engineering to ensure timely completion and documentation of required strategy to ensure reliable functioning of rotating eqpts, supports development and update of predictive and preventive maintenance strategies for eqpts and units, reviews eqpt performance data and updates risk and failure mode calculations after inspections are completed, reviews gap analysis of critical spares and its availability, SAP coding for new or unavailable spares, SAP equipment registrations and updates related to ERS, requirements SAP BOM reviews and updates, assists or manages new implementations of ERS PPM documents, duties include overseeing and managing equipment and process data collection from electronic or paper files into an import spreadsheet, prepares data for ERS study using PFD, equipment and process data, converts external ERS forms into new formats including SAP data, leads or assists in facilitation of PPM study, performs or oversees quality control checks of data to ensure accurate and efficient data import into GE APM analytics software, reviews FMEA studies and calculations, updates ERS plans and reviews with plant personnel, assists with training plant personnel to run and maintain the program, provides consultations for ERS compliance or PPM modifications, provides consultations for critical spares review and analysis, provides support for ERS-related procedures and QA/QC plans with inspection hold points.

Qualifications:

Required education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities include an engineering degree in mechanical or chemical engineering, 10 years with operations and maintenance of large chemical and petrochemical plants, working knowledge of maintaining equipment such as pumps, seal systems, compressors, reactors, heat exchangers, fin fan coolers, oxidizer packages, etc., completion of CMRP certification would be an added advantage.

Preferred Skills:

Should have at least 5 years of maintenance experience in any of the process, power, chemical industry, experience in machinery maintenance, pumps, compressors, turbines, etc., exposure and addition to hands-on experience and familiar in SAP transaction codes, knowledge of various equipment failures and their PM maintenance, knowledge and ability to understanding of different documents and drawings, skilled to extract and analyze maintenance data from SAP, well-trained and knowledgeable on maintenance and material data creation, cleansing, classification, verification, validation, standardization, and enrichment activities for ERP, CMMS master data management (MDM) as per SAP PM, MM module compliance, as well as good knowledge on MDM global customer practices.
