Our ideal candidate will be a skilled Test Automation Engineer, with expertise in developing and maintaining Python-based test automation frameworks. This role requires a deep understanding of complex systems, as well as the ability to think critically and creatively.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure that cutting-edge rail domain technologies are thoroughly tested. Responsibilities include:

  • Performing system and integration testing of locomotive onboard systems, including Positive Train Control (PTC) and IETMS.
  • Developing and maintaining Python-based test automation frameworks.
  • Analyzing system requirements and creating detailed test plans and test cases.
  • Executing manual and automated tests, logging defects, and working with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards in rail systems.
  • Collaborating with hardware and software teams to validate end-to-end functionality.
  • Participating in reviews, audits, and documentation of test results.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 6-9 years of experience in rail domain testing, specifically PTC (Positive Train Control) and IETMS.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Python test automation.
  • Experience with embedded systems and real-time testing environments.
  • Familiarity with rail safety standards and protocols.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • B.Tech qualification or higher.
