Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned architect with 12-14 years of comprehensive experience to spearhead our organization's cloud strategy. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with key solution design and deployment responsibilities, requiring an individual who can drive engineering excellence while fostering team growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud/on-premises technical solutions.
  • Viewed as a trusted technical advisor and ensure technical solutions accomplish business objectives.
  • Proven solid hands-on coding and development best practices.
  • Work with Senior/Lead architects, Enterprise architects, and leadership to produce an optimal conceptual design for the project.
  • Assess existing systems and develop migration strategies to transition on-premises applications and infrastructure to the cloud.
  • Design integration solutions to enable seamless data flow between systems/integrations.
  • Define and enforce security best practices like Threat Model and compliance standards for cloud-based systems.
  • Develop and maintain cloud governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to development teams to ensure adherence to architecture standards and best practices.
  • Develop or produce the technical design document to match the solution design specifications.
  • Manage proof of concept (POC) initiatives, which require involvement of appropriate resources, setup, and delivery of the POC.
  • Own proposed solution and transition build/implementation to the delivery team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and project managers, to ensure alignment of technical solutions with business objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Solid engagement skills coupled with solid technical consulting aptitude.
  • Seasoned understanding of products business and technology positioning.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, contributing to their success.
  • In-depth understanding of cloud security principles, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
  • Understanding of microservices, serverless computing, containers, and hybrid cloud deployments.
  • Deep knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS), including compute, storage, databases, networking, and security.
  • Understanding of different database options, including relational databases and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Knowledge of integration technologies, including API gateways, messaging queues, and ETL processes.
