We are seeking a skilled professional to fill a position that requires strong linguistic skills, cultural awareness, and attention to detail.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for translating various content from English to Japanese and vice versa.
  • They will produce and edit transcripts in line with our style guide, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and cultural appropriateness.
  • Additionally, they will proofread and edit translated material for grammar, consistency, and terminology.
  • The role also involves collaborating with internal teams to clarify concepts and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Maintaining and updating translation memory tools, glossaries, and style guides is another key aspect of the job.
  • The successful candidate will perform quality assurance checks on translated documents and meet assigned deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in English and Japanese, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong understanding of grammar, sentence structure, and the relationship between spoken and written language.
  • Japanese language certification at B1 or B2 level (JLPT N2 or N3 or equivalent).
  • Proven experience as a professional translator or in a similar role (typically 2+ years preferred). Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Familiarity with translation tools and software is a plus.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity to target audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Certification in translation is a plus.
  • Specialized knowledge in areas such as Automotive.
  • Experience with localization projects and multilingual content management.
Education
  • Bachelors degree in Linguistics, Translation, Languages, Communications, or a related field.
