Lead Basketball Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Basketball Instructor to join our team at VIBGYOR Group of Schools.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching and developing student-athletes, creating training programs, organizing practices, and promoting a positive team culture. The Lead Basketball Instructor will focus on enhancing players' skills, knowledge of the game, and sportsmanship, while striving for success both on and off the court.

• Develop and implement training programs to improve players' skills, fitness, and overall performance.
• Plan and conduct regular practices to ensure player development, team cohesion, and preparation for games.
• Analyze players' performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
• Lead, motivate, and inspire the team to reach their potential.
• Ensure that players maintain high standards of behavior, discipline, and sportsmanship.
• Oversee team strategy during games, including substitutions, timeouts, and overall game tactics.
• Monitor players' academic progress and encourage a balance between athletics and education.
• Coordinate with the athletic department to organize matches, tournaments, and other events.
• Ensure compliance with all league and school policies, including safety guidelines and code of conduct.
• Foster a positive and supportive team environment, encouraging teamwork and leadership skills.
• Communicate regularly with parents, school administration, and other coaches regarding team progress and any concerns.

• Previous coaching experience in basketball, preferably at the (high school/college/professional) level.
• Strong knowledge of basketball rules, strategies, and training techniques.
• Ability to teach and inspire players of varying skill levels.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

As a successful Lead Basketball Instructor, you will have a strong passion for the sport and a proven track record of inspiring and developing young athletes. You will be an excellent communicator, able to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. A competitive salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per annum is available for this role, commensurate with experience.
