Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, with experience designing and maintaining scalable APIs, integrating structured data with AI models, and ensuring the security and reliability of our platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop backend services and APIs for core objects (contacts, companies, deals, groups).
  • Integrate large language models (LLMs) with structured data through function calling and other AI-driven workflows.
  • Implement systems that ensure AI outputs are traceable and reliable.
  • Develop and optimize data models in Postgres/Prisma with optional analytics layers such as ClickHouse.
  • Build secure, multi-tenant features with role-based access control (RBAC) and audit logging.
  • Support embeddings and vector search for intelligent free-text queries.
  • Optimize pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in backend development.
  • Strong skills in Node.js/NestJS or similar frameworks.
  • Proficiency in REST & GraphQL API design.
  • Experience with databases such as Postgres (Prisma or TypeORM).
  • Familiarity with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and AI/ML workflows.
  • Understanding of event-driven systems (SQS/Kafka/NATS).
  • Knowledge of security and compliance best practices (OAuth 2.0, multi-tenant systems, audit logs).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a remote team.
