Job Title: Structural Steel Detailer

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Structural Steel Detailer to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for creating accurate shop drawings and bills of materials from architectural and structural drawings.

This role requires strong technical skills in steel detailing and modeling, as well as excellent communication and organizational abilities.

About the Role:
  • Interpret architectural and structural drawings to produce accurate shop drawings and bills of materials.
  • Use detailing software to model and detail steel components including stairs, railings, embeds, and structural steel.
  • Generate and organize CNC files, bolt lists, BOM and fabrication-ready documentation.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with project team to ensure drawings are clear, accurate, and coordinated with other trades.
  • Review drawings and shop details to identify all materials, hardware, and consumables required for fabrication and installation.
  • Create accurate takeoffs and prepare purchase lists for materials.
  • Coordinate with approved vendors to request pricing, compare quotes, and prepare purchase orders.
Requirements:
  • Software proficiency in Tekla Structures or AutoCAD/Advance Steel.
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revu and Excel.
  • Familiarity with Revit or Tekla EPM (FabSuite) is a plus.
