
Oil and Gas Quality Assurance Professional

We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee quality assurance and control programs in the oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate will ensure all operations comply with regulatory requirements, client specifications, and industry standards.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring product and process integrity, enhancing customer satisfaction, and maintaining our company's reputation for excellence.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with API Q1/Q2, ISO 9001, and other applicable standards.
- Oversee internal and external quality audits, including API audits, customer audits, and third-party audits.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for non-conformities.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, procurement, and project management teams to ensure quality across all project phases.
- Establish and monitor quality KPIs, metrics, and reporting systems to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure proper documentation control, including procedures, work instructions, quality plans, and inspection records.
- Train and mentor staff on quality standards, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
- Interface with clients and regulatory bodies regarding quality matters and provide technical support during inspections or audits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage supplier quality assessments, qualifications, and performance monitoring.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in quality assurance/control in the oil and gas industry.
- Proven expertise in API standards (API Q1, API Q2, API 6A, API 16A, etc.).
- Certified lead auditor (ISO 9001/API Q1/Q2) strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with international standards such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ASME, ASTM, NACE, etc.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in quality tools and methodologies (FMEA, 8D, Six Sigma, etc.) will be preferred.
- Working knowledge of industry-specific documentation and compliance tools.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience working with EPC companies or OEMs in the oilfield equipment manufacturing or services sector.
- Hands-on experience in managing quality across fabrication, machining, or assembly operations and on-field operation exposure.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and P&IDs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
