Lead Architect for Enterprise Software Development

We seek an experienced Lead Architect to oversee the entire software development lifecycle.

This role involves providing strategic guidance, conducting code/design reviews, and enforcing quality assurance standards.

  • Key responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders to align technical solutions with regulatory and business requirements in the capital markets domain.
  • The successful candidate will lead teams in developing and supporting high-availability, secure financial applications.
  • This position requires ensuring smooth DevOps processes and managing L3 production support.
Technical Expertise:
  • Leads architecture, design, and development of web-based enterprise applications using Java (JSP, Struts, EJB).
  • Reviews and approves designs, technical specifications, and architecture artifacts.
  • Conducts code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, design patterns, and maintainability.
  • Drives event-driven architecture implementation for real-time systems.
  • Integrates and deploys on IBM WAS, Apache, Tomcat, and Windows environments.
  • Implements messaging and asynchronous communication via IBM MQ.
  • Optimizes SQL queries and data access on IBM DB2.
Application Development & Maintenance:
  • Leads development using JSP, Struts, EJB, and event-driven architecture.
  • Oversees integration and deployment on IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS), Tomcat, Apache.
  • Implements messaging and event processing using IBM MQ.
  • Optimizes backend operations with IBM DB2 and complex SQL queries.
  • Ensures platform scalability, availability, security, and compliance with industry regulations.
Platform Management:
  • Manages core modules such as investor and broker eServices platforms, electronic contract note management, securities settlements and depository applications, and corporate actions.
DevOps and QA:
  • Sets up and maintains CI/CD pipelines.
  • Coordinates the QA team dedicated for the specific set of applications for test strategy, QA reviews, and quality compliance.
  • Manages L3 support, bug fixing, and performance optimization.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Collaborates with depositories, market infrastructure institutions, brokers, banks, and other regulated entities.
  • Translates business requirements into scalable and secure solutions.
Governance and Reviews:
  • Conducts design and code reviews.
  • Ensures compliance with internal standards and regulatory expectations.
