Quality Assurance Specialist:

TalentGigs is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join the DevSecOps team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing, supporting, and continuously improving quality assurance processes.

About the Role:

This role focuses on test planning, code quality enforcement, vulnerability scanning, and release readiness, ensuring secure and reliable software delivery across platforms.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans for application interfaces and operations, maintain Sonar Cloud quality gates, monitor code quality metrics, track defects from QA findings, and conduct release readiness reviews.
  • Vulnerability & Security: Perform vulnerability scanning and reporting using tools like Sonar Cloud and Visual Studio, support audit readiness, and escalate unresolved blockers.
  • Collaboration & Support: Participate in weekly QA reviews, collaborate with Dev Leads, Ops, and Service teams, provide technical support and troubleshooting for QA-related issues.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain system documentation, update QA procedures, prepare weekly status reports, and collect artifacts.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure smooth operation and integration of QA processes, support release and deployment coordination, provide training and support to team members on QA tools and processes, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in QA methodologies, test planning, and defect tracking.
  • Knowledge of static code analysis, vulnerability scanning (e.g., Sonar Cloud), excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, relevant certifications are a plus.

Work Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in QA or related positions, preferably within DevSecOps environments.

Education/Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required (proven experience can substitute for degree requirement).

Software & Technology:

  • Desirable experience with Sonar Cloud, Visual Studio, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Desirable knowledge of vulnerability scanning and compliance requirements.
