We are seeking a skilled Linux System Administrator to join our team.

This is a challenging role that requires strong technical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. You will be responsible for monitoring the stability of our products, handling incident response, and working with internal and external groups to resolve production site issues.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of Linux Systems, including shell scripting, network protocols, and system administration. Proficiency in Windows systems, DNS, and application protocols is also required. Experience with automation workflows, cloud computing, and containerization is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor product stability using various internal tools
  • Handle incident response, troubleshooting, and fix for various products/services
  • Communicate clearly on tickets and phone calls about various issues
  • Exhibit a sense of urgency to resolve issues
  • Build advanced automation workflows for automating repeated issues
  • Work with infrastructure team to deploy and maintain Linux/Windows servers
  • Ensure SLA's and Operational standards are met
  • Liaison with engineering teams for RCA's and permanent resolutions
Requirements
  • Graduate degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
  • Consistently strong academic performance
  • Strong understanding of Linux Systems, shell scripting, and network protocols
  • Proficient in Windows systems, DNS, and application protocols
Bonus Points
  • Experience with automation workflows, cloud computing, and containerization
  • Familiarity with Nagios, DHCP, Kickstart/Cobbler, Yum, RPM, GIT/SVN
  • Regular expressions and rescue kits like TRK
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) certification
