Cinematography Instructor Position

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced professional to join our faculty as a Cinematography Instructor. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching students the art and craft of motion picture photography.

About the Role:

  • The faculty member will design and deliver courses that cover various aspects of cinematography, including theoretical foundations, technical skills, and creative applications.
  • They will create and revise course materials, such as syllabi, assignments, and exercises, to ensure that students receive a comprehensive education in the field.
  • Evaluation of student work, provision of feedback, and assessment of learning outcomes will be critical components of this role.
  • The instructor will also advise and mentor students on their film projects, helping them develop their skills and build their portfolios.
  • Participation in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and other academic administrative activities will be expected.
  • The successful candidate will stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in cinematography.
  • Collaboration with colleagues in other departments and industry professionals will facilitate student learning and foster relationships within the entertainment industry.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Master's Degree/PG Diploma in Cinematography from a recognized University or Institution of repute.
  • At least ten years' post-qualification professional experience and/or teaching experience in the field of Cinematography in an Organization or Institution of repute.
