GCP Data Engineer

Job Overview:

  • Design and develop scalable data processing pipelines utilizing GCP managed services, including Dataproc, Dataflow, pub/sub, Cloud Functions, Big Query, and GCS.
  • Possess strong experience in Big Data technologies – Hadoop, Sqoop, Hive, and Spark, with a focus on DevOps.
  • Demonstrate good hands-on expertise in either Python or Java programming.
  • Exhibit a good understanding of GCP core services such as Google cloud storage, Google compute engine, Cloud SQL, and Cloud IAM.
  • Drive the deployment of customers' workloads into GCP, providing guidance on cloud adoption models, service integrations, and technical roadmaps for successful implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject-matter expert and trusted advisor to multiple teams around GCP.
  • Utilize extensive real-world experience designing technology components for enterprise solutions and defining solution architectures and reference architectures with a focus on cloud technologies.

Requirements:

  • Able to effectively utilize at least 4 of the following GCP managed services: Dataproc, Dataflow, pub/sub, Cloud functions, Big Query, and GCS.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Composer, Cloud SQL, Big Table, and Cloud Function is a plus.
