Job Title: GCP Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled GCP Data Engineer to join our team at Epsilon India. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing highly scalable data pipelines, ETLs, and applications capable of handling high volumes of data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data pipelines, ETLs, and applications using GCP technologies such as BigQuery, Spark, DataProc, AirFlow, and DataFlow.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect new solutions and advocate for new technology and modern engineering practices.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of product development, from design to production support.
  • Mentor individuals and help build high-performing teams.

Requirements:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
  • At least 8 years of progressive experience in hands-on technology roles.
  • At least 3 years of experience in designing data-intensive systems.
  • Strong experience in BigQuery, Spark, DataProc, AirFlow, DataFlow, or similar technologies.
  • Strong experience of working in GCP.
  • Experience with Kafka, Pub Sub, Redis, etc.
  • Strong understanding of RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, Microservices.
  • Strong understanding of unit testing, profiling, performance tuning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Java, GO, Spring.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools.
  • Knowledge of agile practices such as Scrum, Kanban.
