Plumbing and Fire Fighting Design Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to design and develop plumbing and firefighting systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in creating and implementing effective systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Concept Design and Development: Produce concept designs, schematics, and construction designs of plumbing and firefighting systems according to architectural layouts, client requirements, and specifications.
  2. Tender Drawings and Specifications: Prepare tender drawings for plumbing and firefighting systems, including waste, soil, rainwater, sprinkler, hose reel, and fire extinguisher systems.
  3. Shop Drawings and Calculations: Provide calculated notes and prepare shop drawings for submission and resubmission.
  4. Material Selection and Procurement: Select and prepare materials for submission and contact suppliers to request quotations and technical documents.
  5. BOQs and Estimation: Take off BOQs for firefighting and plumbing systems, including sprinkler heads, pipes, sanitary fixtures, and equipment.
  6. Project Planning and Coordination: Prepare information regarding design, structure specifications, materials, equipment, estimated costs, and construction times.
  7. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Consult with consultants to determine MEP system functions and spatial requirements, closely coordinate with electrical, mechanical, architectural, and structural teams.
  8. Team Leadership and Project Management: Direct activities of workers engaged in preparing drawing and specification documents, plan project layouts, and prepare scale drawings.
  9. Technical Reporting and Installation: Collaborate with supervisors in preparing technical reports and installation on site, perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Experience: 10-25 years of experience in plumbing and firefighting system design.
  • Design Principles and Practices: Strong understanding of plumbing and firefighting system design principles and practices.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication and coordination skills, able to work closely with cross-functional teams.
  • CAD Skills: Proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
