Job Description:

\

The Senior Performance Tester is a critical role within our engineering team, responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive performance testing strategies. This involves designing, scripting, and executing load, stress, and scalability testing to ensure software applications and infrastructure are stable and performant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • \
  • Maintain expertise in performance/load testing principles and techniques.\
  • Design and develop solutions for supporting cloud-based services and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.\
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.\
  • Monitor server metrics using application performance monitoring (APM) tools.\
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase automation efficiency and effectiveness.\
  • Innovate and implement solutions that adhere to industry standards.\
  • Conduct business requirement analysis and solution design to identify feasible transactions.\
  • Implement best practices for performance testing and standards within the enterprise.\
  • Conduct endurance, stress, load, and volume testing to validate production readiness of software applications and infrastructure.\
  • Provide performance testing support for respective business units.\
  • Coordinate test case creation, script development, and performance test execution.\
  • Develop and execute scripts to validate high-confidence test cases defined within project test plans.\
  • Perform load testing across multiple messaging protocols, focusing on overall application performance.\
  • Mentor junior team members and track progress and key performance metrics.\
  • Promptly report defects found in testing using standard defect tracking tools.\

Requirements:

  • \
  • 7+ years of performance testing experience.\
  • 5+ years of experience with OpenText LoadRunner using Citrix, RDP, Java, and performance testing mobile technologies and databases.\
  • Significant experience working with JMeter and APM tools like New Relic and Grafana.\
  • Proven experience with SOAP Web Services and RESTful Web Services testing using SoapUI, Postman, and Swagger.\
  • Strong knowledge and experience in performance testing principles, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and software quality assurance (SQA) processes.\
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure Repo, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.\
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed delivery team.\
  • Ability to learn new test tools, technologies, and trends quickly and effectively.\
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.\
  • Exceptional analytical skills and troubleshooting abilities.\
