Cutting Edge AI Engineer

Develop and maintain cutting-edge AI systems that drive sustainability across the waste industry.

• Design, Build and Maintain Robust Pipelines: Utilize expertise in MLOps, AI/ML infrastructure, and platform engineering to create efficient pipelines for image and video data processing.

• AI/ML Infrastructure Architecture: Architect and implement scalable and reliable infrastructure for data storage, model deployment, and inference serving on cloud platforms.

• Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with frontend and product teams to design and implement backend services and APIs that power responsive, data-driven UI experiences.

• Backend Support: Provide technical support for backend services, ensuring seamless integration with frontend applications.

• System Operations: Manage databases, implement background task processing, and ensure system scalability and stability through automated deployments and rollbacks.

• Mentorship & Best Practices: Mentor team members and advocate for MLOps/platform best practices within the organization.

To excel in this role, you will need:

• 5+ Years Experience in MLOps, AI/ML Infrastructure or Platform Engineering: Proven experience in designing and managing complex AI systems and infrastructure.

• Strong Programming Skills in Python and Deep Experience with ML Frameworks: Expertise in Python programming and ML frameworks is essential for success in this role.

• Extensive Hands-on Experience with CI/CD Practices and Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with CI/CD practices and cloud platforms (GCP/AWS) is required.

• Proven Experience Designing and Managing Data Storage Solutions: Experience in designing and managing data storage solutions (databases, cloud storage) and messaging/queuing systems is necessary.

• Solid Understanding of Software Engineering Best Practices: A solid understanding of software engineering best practices (testing, version control, etc.) is essential.

• Demonstrable Experience Building Scalable Systems: Demonstrable experience in building, deploying, and maintaining scalable production-grade systems is required.

• Ability to Work Independently: Ability to work independently and take initiative in driving projects forward is essential.

The following skills are desirable but not required:

• Experience with High-Availability Systems: Familiarity with high-availability systems is a plus.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code Tools: Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools is beneficial.

• Mild Familiarity with Go (Golang) and/or JavaScript (JS): Knowledge of Go (Golang) and/or JavaScript (JS) is a bonus.

• Experience Scaling Systems and Processes within a Startup Environment: Experience scaling systems and processes within a startup environment is highly valued.
