Essbase Administrator

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Essbase Administrator to join our team at Nisum. As an Essbase Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and maintenance of our Hyperion suite.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation, upgrade, and migration of Hyperion applications.
• Provide support for troubleshooting, service request resolution, and performance tuning.
• Experience in performing refresh or new clones of instances.
• Very good understanding of Hyperion backup and recovery methodologies.
• Provide break fix support, service request resolution, performance tuning, and remigration support.
• Assist in implementing upgrades, patches, and enhancements to keep the system current and secure.
• Work closely with senior-level administrators, report developers, and other stakeholders to support.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and technical infrastructure issues.
• Contribute to creating and maintaining documentation for BOXI configuration, processes, and best practices.
• Participate in process improvement efforts for the KPHC Clarity Reporting using advanced continuous improvement tools and skills resulting in significant cost savings.
• Provide support and assistance to end-users and report developers using BOXI client tools.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Provide product and environment support and administration for business intelligence software.
• Good expertise in preparing documentation before, during, and post deployment.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 to 7 years of proven professional experience is required.
• Experience in installation and configuration of Hyperion suite 11.1.2.x and 11.2.x on Windows environments.
• Troubleshoot and analyze financial reports.
• Required reporting tools admin skills on Crystal, Essbase. Qlikview will be an add-on.
• Expert in Essbase calc script.
• Experience in migration and upgrade of Hyperion application environments.
• Experience in setting up disaster recovery for Hyperion application stack.
• Hands-on experience in implementation, upgrade, and migration projects.
• Experience in performing refresh or new clones of instances.
• Very good understanding of Hyperion backup and recovery methodologies.
• Extensive experience in the analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and support of various applications using Hyperion Suite 11.x.
• Migration of DRM applications across versions and create and modify exports, properties, etc., and admin activities.
• Troubleshooting of installation issues and technical infrastructure issues for Hyperion components like Essbase, Planning.
• Good technical experience on Hyperion suite 11.2.x and 11.1.2.x involving installation, configuration, metadata design, integration, performance tuning.
• Good experience on Hyperion EPM troubleshooting, tuning, disaster recovery testing, patch testing, backup, and restore, and integration testing.
• Good expertise in preparing documentation before, during, and post deployment.
• Monitor system performance and administration of services for all of the Hyperion environments.

Education

• A bachelor's degree in information technology, software development management, software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
