Job Overview

The role of Technical Support Engineer plays a vital part in establishing and maintaining infrastructure for field operations. This encompasses Internet Data Centers, ATM sites, Cable Landing Stations, and Network space to drive efficiency and availability.

Main Responsibilities

  • Procure and technically plan TGN and submarine cables owned by consortiums/TCL with focus on cost savings.
  • Correct mission-critical utility infrastructure issues effectively at optimal costs and in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate necessary coordination on certification and field-level testing as appropriate for the business segment.
  • Coordinate with technical teams for new enhancements/issue resolution.
  • Drive initiatives, industrialization, and efficiencies to facilities for improvements.
  • Establish tools and procedures to monitor field operations performance.
  • E nsure reliability and robustness of cable systems.
  • Set up configurations for fibre pairs, capacity, landing stations, and manage capacity distribution and traffic activation.
  • Provide manpower technical resource support for internal customers during project implementation and delivery.
  • Maintain critical power and environment quality standards to achieve optimal levels of operation.
  • Track and monitor environment performance to ensure minimal interruption to network transmission and/or network switches.
  • Represent TCL interests in cable consortiums (IMEWE, SEAMEWE, etc.).
