Software Engineer (PHP)

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Software Engineer with a strong background in PHP development to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of object-oriented programming, experience with popular PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter, and hands-on experience with MySQL or other relational databases.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance and scalable web applications using PHP. They will also work closely with the front-end developers to integrate the front-end elements built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Responsibilities:
  1. Design, implement, and maintain high-performance and scalable web applications using PHP.
  2. Work with popular PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
  3. Develop custom themes, plugins, and modules for WordPress, Drupal, or other CMS platforms.
  4. Implement and maintain complex content management systems, including working with database backends.
  5. Design, implement, and manage databases using MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases.
  6. Optimize database queries for improved performance and scalability.
  7. Develop and maintain stored procedures, triggers, and database schemas for efficient data retrieval and storage.
  8. Build and integrate RESTful APIs and SOAP web services to connect third-party applications with the PHP-based system.
  9. Handle API integrations with payment gateways, CRM systems, and other third-party services as needed.
  10. Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate the front-end elements built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  11. Implement responsive web designs that are mobile-friendly, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and usability.
Requirements:
  1. 3-5 years of professional experience as a PHP Developer.
  2. Strong proficiency in PHP and experience with object-oriented programming (OOP).
  3. Experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
  4. Hands-on experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
  5. Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiar with front-end frameworks like React or Angular.
  6. Experience with RESTful APIs and web services integration.
  7. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  8. Knowledge of web security best practices (e.g., preventing XSS, CSRF, SQL Injection).
  9. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
