Job Description

As a key member of the imaging team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographs while adhering to radiation safety guidelines and universal precautions.

  • Proper positioning and radiology technique are essential in producing high-quality images.

You will also be responsible for preparing patients for radiography/procedures and taking radiographs following established procedures for patient care and safety.

  • Maintaining repeat rates at 2% or less post-processing of films is crucial.
  • Preparing x-ray films with requests for reading by radiologists is an important aspect of your role.

Additionally, you will assist radiologists in conducting special procedures and transfer patients to and from urgent care as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Detail-oriented with excellent knowledge of x-ray procedures.
  • Able to explain procedures to patients.
  • Must follow regulations for protecting patients, coworkers, and themselves from unnecessary exposure to radiation.
  • Familiarity with equipment maintenance and room cleaning.

A strong understanding of NABH standards and ability to implement them is necessary.
