Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to lead a large-scale Advanced Metering Infrastructure project. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing utility or smart metering projects, excellent stakeholder coordination skills, and strong project governance capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • ">
  • Take complete ownership of the AMI project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.">
  • Serve as the key point of contact for vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams; ensure regular reporting and communication with all stakeholders.">
  • Define project scope, milestones, resource plans, risk mitigation strategies, and success metrics in collaboration with cross-functional teams.">
  • Manage cross-functional project teams including engineering, implementation, QA, and support teams.">
  • Liaise with OEMs, implementation partners, and system integrators to ensure timely delivery and integration of metering hardware and software.">
  • Ensure that all project activities comply with regulatory and technical standards; maintain proper documentation and audit trails.">
  • Oversee testing, deployment, and performance monitoring of AMI components (smart meters, communication infrastructure, MDMS, HES).">
  • Identify project risks and roadblocks early; implement corrective actions as needed to ensure project delivery.">
  • Provide regular project updates, dashboards, and reports to senior management and clients.">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should have:

  • ">
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or related field. MBA or PMP certification preferred.">
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience, preferably in utility, power distribution, or smart metering domains.">
  • Hands-on experience with AMI systems, smart meters, Head-End Systems (HES), and Meter Data Management Systems (MDMS) is highly desirable.">
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid).">
  • Proficient in using project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, or Primavera.">
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and team leadership skills.">
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.">
  • Willingness to travel to client locations for on-site project oversight, if needed.">
