About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned Senior / DevOps Engineer with SAP BTP expertise to join our Managed Infra Services Team in the CloudOS Group. As a key contributor, you'll play a crucial role in building and maintaining our Signavio CloudOS platform. Our mission is to empower application developers by providing a scalable, secure, and compliant foundation for their services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-shape the technical vision and strategy for our platform, ensuring alignment with business requirements and mid-to-long-term goals.
  • Collaborate with People Leads and Product Owners to drive timely delivery, development principles, and quality assurance.
  • Lead by example, mentoring DevOps Engineers and providing regular in-depth feedback.
  • Contribute to the design, build, and maintenance of our production systems using AWS, Kubernetes, CDK, and Terraform.
  • Advocate for our strict infrastructure-as-code / GitOps approach on AWS.
  • Help build a unified platform on top of AWS and SAP BTP.
  • Enable other software engineering teams to own their parts of the infrastructure.
  • Work with compliance and security engineers to ensure our SaaS product meets regulatory requirements and business needs.

Requirements

  • Engineering graduate with 7-12 years of experience in leading teams and driving technical excellence.
  • Expertise in more than one programming language, such as Go, Python, or Java.
  • Longtime experience in hands-on positions, developed leadership skills over time.
  • Familiarity with software engineering practices like GitOps / ArgoCD, CI/CD, TDD, and GitHub workflow.
  • Understanding of High Availability, Scalability, Security, and Disaster Recovery concepts.
  • Previous experience in a DevOps transformation or working in a DevOps culture.
  • Experience working with AWS cloud technologies and Kubernetes.
  • Strong strategic thinking, ability to set and drive the team towards the North Star.
  • Great interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively, share knowledge, and enable others.
  • Joy for coaching, mentoring, giving feedback, and enabling talent to reach their full potential.
