Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Functional Architect to join our team at Blue Yonder. As a key member of our product development organization, you will be responsible for providing functional thought leadership and domain expertise to our QA engineers, testers, and junior Functional Architects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a domain expert and advocate for best business practices for the product development team.
  • Provide functional thought leadership to QA engineers, testers, and junior Functional Architects.
  • Contribute to the product vision for new features and products.
  • Ensure that the solution design and execution developed effectively meets the business objectives of our customers and end users.
  • Act as the hub of the stakeholders (both internal and external) for the application, interfacing with the product management team, stakeholders, customers, services, and platform team.
  • Contribute to planning and review meetings, working with product management to scope and prioritize new requirements.
  • Respond to all functional queries both from internal and external sources.
  • Work with UX designers to create an easier and smoother user experience and advocate aggressively for user experience quality within the company.
  • Validate new features and their impact on existing features, demonstrating the new functionality to stakeholders for feedback.
  • Participate in planning sessions with key stakeholders, such as the enterprise functional architect, to develop enhancements that support business scenarios which span across JDA products.
  • Assist in the identification of business scenario data to be used during the development process, reviewing the functional testing requirements of each feature.
  • Provide functional validation to ensure features meet stated requirements, reviewing test scenarios and test cases.
  • Act as a SME, reviewing the training material for the external organization and reviewing product documentation of both existing and new features.
  • Manage product requirements, competitive product analysis, market analysis, product adoption, and integrating with business, engineering, and support teams.
  • Assist PMG with overall corporate product readiness execution to support launches, demo releases, sales readiness, and support awareness trainings.
  • Assist PMG to support RFP, RFQ, current implementations, demo preparation, demo delivery, and roadmap communications including interactions with SIG and UG.
  • Resolve complex functional questions and issues for external and internal customers, assisting PMG to deliver product presentations and webcasts to clients for specialized topics.
  • Assist PMG to train sales and account managers on product features, positioning, and strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree and minimum 10 to 14 years of experience in Software development.
  • Strong SCM-Planning/Order Fulfillment domain experience in Product Development organization or implementation SCP solution for one or more big customers.
  • Experience in ensuring the functional correctness and business application of enhancements to the product during the development planning and execution phases.
  • Focus on improving the end user experience through reviewing test plans and product documentation and providing the end user perspective to product development associates.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders in resolving critical customer issues.
  • Provide inputs in defect triage meetings and assist team members in troubleshooting the root causes for the complex customer issues and scenarios.
  • Work with services and support departments if need be to resolve issues.
  • Experience in addressing functional queries both from internal and external sources.
