We are an established special school in Chennai, dedicated to providing special education and vocational training for children and adults with diverse needs.

Our scenic campus serves as a supportive environment for individuals with Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities, and Down Syndrome.

We seek a skilled Music Educator who can design and implement music lessons catering to varying learning styles and abilities.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in creating inclusive music programs, accommodating students with autism, physical disabilities, learning difficulties, or emotional/behavioural challenges.

• Plan and deliver music lessons that accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Utilize adaptive techniques, such as assistive technologies, visual aids, instruments, and alternative communication methods, to support student participation.
• Foster self-expression, communication, and emotional regulation through music-based activities.
• Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other specialists to integrate therapeutic goals into musical activities.
• Evaluate student progress using tailored benchmarks and contribute to Individualised Education Programs (IEPs).
• Maintain a safe, structured, and encouraging classroom environment and manage behaviour sensitively.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music or Music Therapy
• 3-7 years of experience working with children in mainstream schools or special schools
• Teaching qualification or experience in special education
• Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and adaptive music education
• Ability to play an instrument and facilitate group music singing
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Patient, creative, and positive attitude
