Terviva is a mission-driven, late-stage startup that prioritizes sustainability, equity, and care for the environment and communities. We are seeking a highly motivated Paralegal to support our Global Legal Team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a keen eye for detail and exceptional communication skills to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the global legal team on all legal matters, including maintaining detailed calendars, agendas, and minutes.
- Provide legal spend management support, including managing legal billing, expense management, and travel arrangements.
- Assist in managing Terviva's intellectual property portfolio and coordinate with external counsels and advisors.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract files, playbooks, and standard templates.
- Undertake research of existing laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure global policy compliance.
Requirements:
- Master's or bachelor's in law from a recognized university, with a postgraduate degree preferred.
- Certificate of Practice and Company Secretary (ICSI) certification are advantageous.
- 2-4+ years of relevant paralegal experience, with exposure to manufacturing, technology, and commercial transactions.
- Prior in-house experience, especially in multi-jurisdictional companies, is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated knowledge of technology trends and their application in contract review, due diligence, and collaborative work.
