Electrical Systems Design Engineer

As a high-voltage systems engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical equipment and materials for industrial facilities.

  • Professionals with relevant design experience in the oil and gas, refinery, power plant, and petrochemical industries are required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design main electrical equipment and materials to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Prepare and review technical specifications and data sheets to meet project requirements.
  • Perform electrical equipment and material sizing calculations to optimize system performance.
  • Develop control and protection schematics and SLDs to prevent system failures.
  • Procure and purchase HV electrical equipment and materials as needed.
  • Design and review overhead transmission lines (OHLs) to ensure structural integrity.
  • Review generation and grid interconnections to ensure seamless integration.
  • Conduct power system studies to identify potential issues and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Evaluate technical bids for HV electrical equipment and materials to ensure best value.
  • Collaborate with other technical disciplines to achieve project objectives.
Required Skills
  • Minimum 15 years of experience working in the electrical discipline in an engineering company.
  • Proven track record of designing high-voltage electrical equipment and materials.
  • Expertise in power system studies and analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Able to understand and apply principles from other disciplines to achieve project goals.
  • Self-motivated and quick learner with a strong desire to continually improve and expand skills and knowledge.
  • Fluent English language skills to communicate effectively with international stakeholders.
