Job Title: Master Craftsman in Solid Wood Design

Furniture designers at the forefront of innovation create product lines that combine artistic expression with globally competitive market strategies. Leveraging expertise garnered from years of exporting to key markets, these visionaries develop new concepts informed by customer insights, social media trends, and international design patterns.

To succeed in this role, you will be expected to:

  • Analyze customer purchase history, social media, and international trends to shape design decisions.
  • Create original design concepts in solid wood materials (Mango, Oak, Acacia, Teak) aligned with our strengths in export markets.
  • Produce production-ready drawings using CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, or Rhino.
  • Collaborate with merchandising and sourcing teams to translate concepts into viable collections.
  • Work closely with prototyping teams to refine joinery, finishes, ergonomics, and structural integrity.
  • Incorporate KD (knock-down) joinery, export packaging standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Develop design boards, line sheets, and client presentations for export buyers.
Key Requirements
  • A minimum of 2+ years' experience in furniture design, preferably in solid wood.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Rhino, etc.).
  • Knowledge of global furniture trends, ergonomics, finishing techniques, and joinery.
  • Ability to transform research findings into commercially viable designs.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
