Job Description: Associate Professor - Computer Science

The Vellore Institute of Technology invites applications for the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science. We seek an outstanding candidate who can contribute to teaching, research, and service in the areas of computer science, artificial intelligence, and related fields.

Responsibilities:

  1. Teaching: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in computer science, artificial intelligence, and related areas.
  2. Research: Conduct research in AI, machine learning, data science, and related fields, and publish papers in top-tier conferences and journals.
  3. Service: Participate in departmental, college, and university service activities, including committee work, mentorship, and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D.: A Ph.D. in computer science, artificial intelligence, or a related field from a reputable institution.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of postdoctoral experience in academia, industry, or research institutes.
  • Skills: Proven track record of publishing research papers, securing grants, and mentoring students.

Salary: ₹70,000 - ₹1,00,000 per month (depending on qualifications and experience).

Location: Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India.
