Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced chemist to join our team as a Formulation & Quality Control (QC) Specialist in animal health supplements.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in both formulation and QC for dogs and cats products, with a strong background in veterinary or animal health formulations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and optimize formulations for pet health supplements, including syrups, tonics, and nutraceuticals.
  • Select suitable excipients, preservatives, flavors, and stabilizers that are safe for animals.
  • Lead small-scale batch preparation for pet health supplements, including mixing, filtration, filling, capping, and labeling.
  • Train and guide the founder in step-by-step production processes.
  • Maintain hygiene and cleaning Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for pet product manufacturing.
  • Conduct basic QC tests specific to dogs and cats supplements, including pH, clarity, taste/palatability, viscosity, and appearance.
  • Approve/reject incoming raw materials, including vitamins, minerals, and herbal extracts for pets.
  • Maintain stability samples and quality records.
  • Prepare and maintain Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs).
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory guidelines, including FSSAI and nutraceutical/veterinary supplement regulations.
  • Act as the Technical Person for licensing and inspections.


Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy / Master of Pharmacy (preferred) OR
  • Master of Science in Chemistry / Food Technology / Veterinary Science / Nutraceuticals.
  • Experience:
  • 2–5 years in pet health supplements / veterinary nutraceuticals / animal syrups or tonic manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience in both formulation and QC for dogs and cats products is essential.
