Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our founding team at Jumbo. As a key member, you will play a pivotal role in designing, optimizing, and maintaining robust backend systems. Your primary focus will be on API development, data model optimization, and cloud-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with product and business teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions through rapid experimentation
  • Mentor junior engineers and lead them towards growth and excellence
  • Design and implement back-end services ensuring high reliability and scalability
  • Develop new features while improving existing ones, leading to enhanced overall system functionality
  • Leverage your expertise to define and uphold data architecture, software design, coding standards, and security practices
  • Implement end-to-end testing frameworks for core platform services
  • Oversee cloud infrastructure and deployments
  • Work with the mobile team to ensure seamless end-to-end system functionality
  • Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical documentation
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in building large-scale gaming/consumer transactional products
  • Strong problem-solving skills, data structures, and algorithms
  • An excellent understanding of one or more RDBMS/NoSQL/Messaging/Caching technologies
  • Proficiency in Node.js & Express
Technical Requirements

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with:

  • Nestjs (Nodejs/Express)
  • Typescript
  • AWS, Digitalocean cloud
  • PostgreSQL, MongoDB & Redis
  • Apache Kafka
Estimated Salary: ₹1,200,000 - ₹1,800,000 per annum
