Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Expert

The role of a Cloud Infrastructure Expert involves overseeing the maintenance and administration of cloud infrastructure, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, VPCs, RDS databases, and Lambda functions.

This is a critical position that requires strong technical skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain high-availability and disaster recovery solutions using backup software such as Veeam, AWS Snapshots, Commvault, and Backup Exec.
  • Oversee automation scripts and tools for provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of cloud resources.
  • Monitor system performance, identify trends, and implement improvements to ensure optimal resource utilization and cost efficiency using monitoring platforms like Datadog, Orion, Nagios, and WhatsUp Gold.
  • Implement security best practices and compliance standards to protect cloud environments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in implementing and managing AWS cloud solutions.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience administering Okta.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and architectures, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch, as well as experience with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment are also essential.
