Imaging Scientist - Nuclear Medicine

Seeking an Imaging Scientist to conduct quality control and analysis procedures, provide medical writing support, and assist in project management duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform technical quality review of images per trial specifications
  2. Conduct quantitative image analysis and imaging data reconstruction per trial specifications
  3. Manage research projects and early phase clinical trials
  4. Complete quality control documentation according to standard operating procedures
  5. Develop quality control documentation in conjunction with the Project Manager
  6. Generate image queries to address technical issues and track those issues for timely resolution
  7. Provide clinical site and imaging center support
  8. Creation and review of imaging site questionnaires
  9. Develop training materials for imaging site personnel including Data Transmittal Form, Imaging Manual, Site Training slides, and other supplemental documents as needed
  10. Technical training of imaging site personnel on-site or telecon
  11. Develop Image QC Checklists for all studies with Nuclear Medicine as modality and assigned studies
  12. Collaborate with project internal teams to support sponsor specified project scope of work
  13. Provide medical and scientific input to the following documents: Project Management Plans, Imaging Review Charters, Reader Rules, Image Analysis Platform, Final Study Reports, Clinical Case Report Forms, and Study Protocols

Training and Development:

  • Provide training to Radiologist, Oncologist, and other sub-specialty Physicians on Imaging Review Charters/Reader Rules, Reader Rules, Image Analysis Platform, and Protocol-specific assessment criteria
  • Mentor and assist in the training of internal staff
  • Monitor and evaluate reader results to ensure compliance with protocol criteria and CRF completion requirements

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in a relevant field such as Imaging Science, Nuclear Medicine, or Medical Physics
  • Experience in quality control and analysis procedures, medical writing, and project management
  • Strong understanding of imaging technology and techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
