Automation Architect Role Overview

Highly skilled Automation Architects are sought after to lead and design robust automation solutions, ensuring best practices and delivering adaptable frameworks across various squads and environments.

The successful candidate will own the automation strategy, manage projects from initiation to delivery, and provide regular updates to key stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing functional technology solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Developing and owning the automation strategy for the organization/project.
  • Defining automation frameworks and best practices for scalability and maintainability.

Responsibilities also include replicating frameworks across multiple squads for consistency, fine-tuning solutions to meet specific software, OS, tools, and hardware requirements, validating the implementation of best practices across automation teams, providing technical leadership and support, architecting tool integrations based on application architecture, developing custom utilities to address customer requirements, and more.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Applicants should possess a strong understanding of Watermelon and related automation tools, as well as hands-on experience integrating automation tools with various applications and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Proven experience in automation architecture and framework design.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional, collaborative environment.
Education & Certifications

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and relevant certifications in automation tools, architecture, or testing are highly valued.
