Production Leadership Opportunity

D2 International Pvt. Ltd., a renowned export house with over 30 years of expertise in crafting premium leather handbags, accessories, and belts, is seeking an Assistant Production Manager. This role is critical in ensuring operational excellence, efficient production planning, and adherence to quality standards within our manufacturing operations.

Job Description:

As Assistant Production Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the production floor. You will be responsible for coordinating with internal teams to ensure seamless production and operational excellence. Your duties will include developing and executing production plans, scheduling, and monitoring to meet targets and deadlines.

  • Prepare and review production documents for new products in line with QA guidelines.
  • Oversee the execution of approved manufacturing processes and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Lead quality assessments and address customer complaints to ensure satisfaction.
  • Supervise and train production personnel, fostering a disciplined and safe working environment.
  • Manage the complete production cycle, including resource allocation, productivity, and cost control.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, quality control, and procurement teams for efficient workflow.
  • Communicate with external vendors and manage outsourced production to ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain and monitor inventory of raw materials and manage stock procurement.
  • Prepare and analyze production reports, cycle times, and capacity utilization.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain operational harmony on the production floor.
  • Support production planning, budgeting, and contribute to continuous process improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of core production experience in leather accessories within an export house environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; graduates from premier institutions preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of production processes, time and action calendars (TNA), and project management.
  • Demonstrated leadership, team management, and people-handling skills.
  • Proficiency in sourcing fabrics, trims, and managing vendor relationships.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities; able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of punctuality, dedication, and a proactive approach to challenges.
